W56?

Postby toyrota mota » Fri Sep 07, 2007 5:40 pm

Ok i while back I brought a w56 cos it was cheap for my 3tgte conversion. Just want to know what you guys think of them? Is anyone else running one? Are the ratios going to be ok or too low cos its originally a diesel g/box? I read somewhere that the w56 is slightly stronger than a w55 and coming from behind a diesel i thought it would have had a nice life so far?

From what i understand they mainly come out in commercial vehicles, i.e my townace van has a g56 gearbox in it so that'd either be an indication of the exact opposite in this case. Where a tradesman owned van or whatever has had a hard life

Many previously owned projects: 94 Hilux 4WD, 92 VP SS commodore, AE85 notchback, Ae85 rolling shell, Ke35 sr coupe, EP82 turb starlet
