Ive just got back from 3 months overseas and my Starlet has been sitting the whole time -

I did leave it in gear before i left - but i do know that my brother was starting it up everyweek untill about a month ago. (so i assume he took it out of gear each time he started it)

I got it started yesterday - and engine runs - but as soon as i try to put it into gear it wont do anything.
So i checked the clutch cable and i see that there is no movement on the lever that comes out of the gbox - it wont move any further forward (toward front of car) and if i try to push it back - it starts hitting something (as the engine was going at the time)

Does anyone have any suggestions for what could be the problem?

Cheers

the gfs dad said i should start it in gear and try drive it and push the clutch pedal in - straight away it popped out - so its going now - Although i did have to fork out for a new battery.

next thing is to get it a wof, hmmmm
