Postby gleem » Tue Sep 11, 2007 7:14 pm

Hi all, trying to get this transmission off the engine and its proving to be bloody hard work, i swear i have undone every bolt and it just isn't budging i have tried a few methods and none seem to have work so im guessing im doing something wrong, where the lines are is where im trying to seperate it from the engine.

the torque converter bolts hold the converter to the flexiplate , without undoing these u wont be able to get the box off! , usually thers a plastic cover on the undercarriage of the gbox and u pop it off then can see the flexi plate and converter. i think thers 8-12 bolts undo the 1st one then turn the flexiplate as is has holes in it so can jam a bar in etc to turn then undo next yada yada until all are undone then the box should come away...

there is a big rubber grommet in the back of the sump which you pop out to be able to get at the torque convertor bolts, there should be either 4 or 6.
