I think you're right to look to the fuel supply. Sound like a lack of fuel. Have you checked the filter on the fuel pump in the tank? It didn't take much to block the fuel pump pickup on my MR2

Check that you have 12 volts at the injectors when the ignition is ON.

Yup... when the ignition is on, there should be voltage both sides of
the injector plugs. The ECU earths the injector to fire it, so you would
expect to see the voltage go away intermittently (drop and then come
back in a rapid cycle) on one side when cranking. The other side (supply
side) should stay pretty much at 12V.

Sure sounds like a fuel fault tho. After it has started and died a couple
of times, are the plugs wet with fuel ??

Did you have anything electrical off the engine at all. Like dizzy or
igniter ? Wires disconnected... that sort of thing ??

wen i was checking the voltage at the injectors while cranking i couldnt see the voltage drop then come back?, either it was too fast for me or it wasnt hapening at all, plugs are wet after a while cranking etc running for 5 seconds dieng etc etc

ive unplugged the sensors one at a time to try isolate it and fixed 1 dodgy wire from the dizzy, has mint spark fuel to the rail etc etc n the bloody thing wont go, seems like its just running off what the cold start injector pumps in wen it does fire up
