shift light in altezza

hi i have a 2000 sxe10 3sge 6mt altezza and i just brought a adjustable shift light from trade me and i wanted to know a few things.
has anyone got a bracket for one as mine didnt come with one and has anyone installed one of these because i have no idea really if it will even work in my car? http://www.geocities.com/big_m_u_s_t_a_n_g/DSCF2420.JPG

Well you have three wires there.
Black is Ground
Red is 12v+
Green is Tach signal

You just set it on the back by the looks of things to the correct rpm.
Easy peas.

were would the easiest place to get the tacho signal be ? sorry i am a novice when it comes to electronics :oops:

off the coil. Usually the negative side.

They have coil packs, not quite that simple.

Oh didn't realise. Easiest way would be to tap directly into tach wire at back of gauge cluster then.

if you aren't confident enough to do it yourself, IMO just sell it on again, altezza dashes look mint so why spoil it with that ugly thing.

just my opinion tho!

If you don't know when to change gear I think wiring that is the least of your problems :wink: :lol:
