Postby escortman » Sun Nov 04, 2007 9:03 pm

ok cud some1 please tell me why this happened
started my fx today for the 1st time on the engine after finaly getting timing rite etc it sat there surging like it had an airleak and when u taped the throttle it wud drop in revs and slowly increase but missing hard or overfueling so tried listening feeling etc for leaks no use so tried spraying start ya bastard and still found no leaks, started to check everything was pluged in etc then thought why not see if i unplug tps and hey presto it ran fine and respned to throttle, now why would this happen when several months ago i had tps hooked up and it ran fine?

so what are you saying? was the tps hooked up or did you just push on the plug to make sure it was on, because sometimes the connections on the tps can be loose even if its hooked up, and when you went to check it by pushing it in a bit more it made better contact, also the settings are on really thin margin so even a slight knock can get it out or in your case may have fixed it,
