Hey all,
My corolla failed it warrant for having no handbrake on one side.
The calipers seemed stiff when pulling on the handbrake lever on the caliper, so I rebuilt both the rear calipers (the cable seemed OK as I could slide it).
So anyway I chucked the calipers back on and the handbrake still bites hard on the right but not hard on the left.
I took both the handbrake cables out and they move freely, so I figured I would put them both back, but before doing so I noted that the right side is shorter than the left.
Is this normal?
I don't think it would be, but I also don't think they could stretch, I figured they would snap.
Any insight would be helpful.
