Postby ke_25 » Wed Dec 12, 2007 6:37 pm

I'm using AE86 brakes discs and calipers.

Or 10" cressida struts will fit.

As ke25sr said, cressida disc's & calipers will fit inside 14 inch rims.

have this done on my KE25 (I didn't do it) am running 14 inch mags, no clearance issues what so ever.

thought I had a better pic for clearance but i dont, but this might give you an idea

bah 240mm is tiny, gt starlets run 254mm stock and come with 14" rims. have 270mm rotors on it now and 14's still fit, just. depends on the type of rim tho.

Nissan 4pots on 296mm Altezza rotors fit under 14's, but will need good offset wheels or spacers.

about -10 offset on 14x7's. The rotors, drilled to 4x80 to sit in the hub, put the brakes quite far back out of the way.

they dont fit UNDER, they fit behind.
Nissan 4 pots have HUGE space wasteage, i looked at them on my corolla before I went with S4 RX7 calipers as I get go nearly 20mm larger disc with the RX7 caliper.

a 14 inch rim, has at MAXIMUM 295mm of brake space INSIDE the rim. take off 15mm either side for a space friendly 4 pot caliper, then 5mm of clearance and you have a 255mm disc INSIDE the rim.

Yeah, it may be better with some rx7 calipers.

strx7 wrote:so they dont fit UNDER, they fit BEHIND........

No, the caliper is still inside the rim. ke_25 wanted to know the largest, not a friendly fitment.

what ever you do, dont use the hilux ones!
way too heavy. you dont prob dont need 4 pots either.

the cressida (or celica, carina etc) struts and brakes would be the way to go.
thats what i did on my ke70
just had to lengthen the lower arms to correct the camber

yer i flicked off the hilux ones coz of weight,

i was just woundering uther options at this stage. 255, shit i hope they fot over my 265mm ones on my rear diff then.

looks like FD 4 pots may be the go, has any one ried st202 2 pots from the super strut versions? they runa 275mm disk tho i believe?

would maybe consider cresida but ive already sepnt the money converting me ke35 ones into coil overs, and going cressida would need to get new threaded sleeve, botom and locking nuts and also shock (probly changing brand of shock neways as have shortened ae92 so super short) as they are 52mm OD not 48..

thanks for help much appreciated

find the wheels you are going to be using and measure them up.
