20V BT 1-2 PSI BOOST

Postby Voyeur » Fri Dec 14, 2007 2:58 pm

Basically after peoples thoughts, at 1-2 psi boost, would a standard map black top need any mods, injectors, controller, fuel pressure, or pump. etc etc.
I have read on wheels jamaica, of one guy running 5psi with no problems, but i would worry about fueling at that level

worry about throwing a rod or cracking a piston, cheaper in the long run/more reward todo it right

1-2psi, is that even worth getting out of bed for?

if you going to boost it do it properly with the associated engine mods (all found on this forum)

I personally wouldn't waste my time getting it turbo'd to run 1-2 psi

I never said turbo, that is later down the track, and yes i am concerned with throwing rods, but what i am asking is, is the map able to register positive pressure, will the injectors and fuel system cope, etc etc, with no mods, ie standard computer.

Nah,
I have some free time on the dyno, and i would like to prove or disprove once and for all, electric type intake charges. I have a tornado POS, and a more promising in-line 3 inch barrel fan, which spins at 24000rpm moves a lot of air and is capable of up to 3psi push restriction.
I just have too much time

No the sensor is not capable of reading positive pressure,

but at 1 or 2 psi the car would run fine on the stock map for sopme dyno runs etc etc.

would be good to see your results.
