Tyre Questions

Postby Boosted_162 » Sat Dec 29, 2007 2:37 pm

Just a few random tyre questions...

Can you get screws removed out of tyres? I got a biggish one on the outer tread block. The tyres are aweome 225/50/15 Potenza's, and i dont really wanna buy new ones! The tyre hasnt actually gone down.

Whats the widest tyre you can fit on a 7" rim? And how much wider than 225 can you get in a 15"?

Cheers :D

Most punctures like that can be repaired, as long as it hasn't damaged the sidewall. It's kinda depending on the location and angle of the screw into the tyre so it'll be at the discretion of your tyre monkey if he'll give it a shot.

I've always been paranoid about driving hard on repaired tyres though

Awesome :D. Would have been such a waste if it couldnt be fixed. New wheels and tyres definately arent in my budget at the moment.
