4age wiring injector power

Postby R.U.F » Thu Jan 10, 2008 8:42 am

Hi all

finally have everything ready to go in the 85 conversion but have tripped ourselves up on some wiring issues. We have re-directed the injector power and earth. The constant power is there but we're having trouble with the relay and trigger signal along with a couple of other minors.

Engine is wanting to turn other but not getting fuel. Rest of loom appears fine check lights etc are goin out.

I do have the wire map from clu4ag but it is vague and complicated. Anyone in the Auckland area with experience at this wanna come give us a hand or talk us through it. Happy to sling a box of beer or something your way.

Cheers Paul 021 832 869

for bigport bluetop, one side of the injectors should have 12v ign +, the other should go directly to the ecu which then controls when they fire via earthing them out.

Also needs to go through the injector resistor ,
resistor is 3 wire and goes between the power source and the injector

Theres no resistor pack in the bluetop loom.

I went and had a look last night and it is a sweet sweet ride.

R.U.F just needs to get a decently charged battery to test if it can crank over. Then we can do some more fault finding.

But i believe we got the injectors working (intake plenum smelt of gas). It just wouldnt crank now haha.

Thanks all. Cheers Nic for comming out and helping. Great to meet people willing to help out.

Managed to tidy a bunch of the wiring up and had it turning much better by improving the earths and charged battery with the help of a Hiace battery on jumpers.

Turning and popping a hell of alot of gas out the tail but still no fire. Hopefully will nut it out soon, it's the only reason this "sweet sweet ride" (cheers Nic) ain't on the Rd.
