Gearbox - Driveshaft Seals.

Postby Bumpy » Sun Jan 13, 2008 2:37 pm

Anyone changed these and wanna tell me how they went about getting them out and the new ones in?

I changed the rear crank seal in the starlet last weekend, they look like a similar seal (oil), but herd they just pop out ... not too sure about that.

Any help would be great, thanks.

The seal is pretty much identical, if you've done a crank seal, you'll have no trouble with a g/b seal.

Ok, got my Gearbox Oil Seals today, but they are different sizes.

Is this true for my C56 Starlet Glanza gearbox? Or any gearbox for that matter ...

Cheers,

Shane.

Quite often one side is bigger than the other, wouldn't worry about it, unless you know they should be the same.
