AE111 facelift headlight wiring.

Postby jetshin » Sun Jan 20, 2008 3:25 pm

so im trying to put some facelift headlights into my prefacelift trueno, only problem is it seems that facelift headlights have a seperate high-beam light (I think) and connector which prefacelifts dont have.

there are three connectors on the new headlights but only two on the old lights.

What's the best way wire the high-beams? any help would be appreciated.
ill try and get some pics if my explanation isn't good enough.

cheers

got a multimeter?

cut off the old plugs, bare the wires that connect to the headlight, then use multimeter to determine which wire gets power when just head lights are on, and which has power when you flick the high beam on and also which wires get power when only the park lights are switched on. Then wire up the new plugs accordingly

Just make sure the bare wires aren't near bare metal of the car when you do this.
