put stering lock spacers in the stering rack for drifting and i gess it had to much stress on full lock at high speed.

if the a70 supra has the same lock as the z20 soarer, you don't need any more lock, it's fine how it is

What on earth have you been smoking Alex?

A70/Z20 have apalling steering lock factory. Removing the steering lock stopper bolts goes someway to improving it, but lock spacers really are needed.

My JZX91 has as good a steering lock factory as my Z20 with lock spacers :\

MRDRFT: Just buy Toyota genuine ones, they'll be fine unless you're doing something stupid with the car or the installing of the parts.

I just don't see the need for turning the wheels any more than they turn from factory? Even while drifting you've easily got enough to play with, I've never found myself looking for a few more degrees of lock. Perhaps my style differs from other people? It's all in the right foot...

If you really want more lock, I saw something once on Toymods about using rods from a JZZ30 soarer, it was pretty mental.

So how was it done....

GZ20/MZ20/JZA70 etc subframe, JZZ30 bottom arms, tie rods, track ends & hubs using the original upper arms. You'll need to shorten the tie rods & track rod ends by 15mm as they need to be screwed in quite a way. The hubs steering arms have been shortened by 50mm to delete the ackerman system, cut & rewelded job.

My old system had the rack ends spaced out, you won't be needing that any more just the standard rack system.

You'll need to add some spacers welded to the inside of the subrame mounts to pack out the difference in the bushes (JZ ones are 5-10mm shorter) The JZ arms also give more castor about 5mm further forward on the outer joint. Not measured it but its lots.

Not sure how legal this might be for the road but its a track car
