t-50 and k-50

ive just bought a k-50 gearbox with a 4age bellhousing andd was wondering if the k50 bell housing will fit a t-50 gear box? cheers

Pretty sure a k50 bellhousing cannot be removed. And there are at least 2 different kinds of K50.

In short, no.

sounds like you've got a k50 from an ae85?
ie 3a bellhousing that will also mate up to 4age.
nope integrated bellhousing so cant remove.
even if you cut it off, k50 and t50 are quite different shapes.

you need to find a K-T bellhousing, found in early carina's with 5kj engines they come with t40, and if i rememeber right they are 22spline so you need a 22spline t50 to mate to, if you use a 20spline you have to make spacers for the bearings from what ive heard.

there are a couple of k-t bellhousings for sale on trademe at the moment - i think SRCoupe on here (at least that is his name on club-k) is selling one.
but beware they are not cheap.
they almost go for as much as a-t t50 bellhousings
