4AGE electrical woe's

done a 4age conversion into a ae92 wagon.
most of the electrical stuff works but not all. is runnin a fxgt dash, but oil pressure dosnt work,rev counter and the temp sendor.

any commen problems? everythink seems to be plued in.

also reverse lights dont work, and the top rear brake light

anyhelp would be cool

For the reverse lights, check that the sender is plugged in by the gearbox.

with the oil pressure gauge u will probably haveto trace back the wire to the block of the 4age then make sure it goes to ur dash cluster, if not wire it to it from the cluster back. and the tacho might not go because the wagon motor im assuming was a 4a-f? anyway some motors use a square wave 5V instead of a 12V pulse depending on frequency, so ul need to adapt the signal for the new tacho to work. look on toymods website for mre info...

For the reverse lights, just make sure both aren't going, then it'll get a WOF :lol:

Just be careful backing up, as people won't know you're about to.

Thats what I did, I had one reverse light goin in the FX and failed a WOF, removed the other bulb and Wof was givin, glad I knew that technicalitiy, never knew it would come in use haha.

for real? thought you needed them for a wof.haha

would be good to get them going anyway.maby after wof :P

how do i hook up a rear top break light? went and got the blub holders out of a fxgt,chucked it in. now it works with the break but when you turn on the park lights the rear break light comes on to? :?

also clock dim's when foot is applied to break.
