ITBs are easy to swap as well...
only way for sure if the block is a blacktop is to pull the cambelt covers off and look for the tensioner
as for the head, pull the extractor off and measure the ports.

those are the two easiest ways i can think of off the top of my head.

i guess they put a blacktop longblock in it and cbf wiring for the ecu

would say it is blacktop...
has blacktop covers, tb's, vacumes (for itb's), B/T vvt solinoid

It will just be runing silvertop ecu and loom... saves the hassle pissing around with blacktop one since it would need wiring, I was doing the same thing at one stage.....

i wouldnt worry about it not being a blacktop head... its a fairly safe bet the longblock/intake is completely blacktop, but still running the silvertop electrics, still, the guy sounds like a muppet and its done plenty of kms, it aint worth much

What are the port sizes supposed to be compared to the silvertop.? I have a spare blacktop head sitting in my garage and id like to do a few checks on it.
