4age 16v valve stem seals

Postby Crimson Tears » Sun Feb 10, 2008 8:23 pm

Hey guys

Quick question
Doing valve stem seals on a blue top 4age. Have got the factory manual and have come to replace the stem seals - I have silver and bronze stem seals, but the manual doesn't specify which way they go around?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Cheers

You talking about the little oil seals that go on the top of the valve guides or something else?

if so there is only one way they can go onto the guides.

I can't find any writing indicating which they should go on. When I did mine i just put the bronze ones on the exhaust and the silver on the inlet... colour matching :D
Maybe you could ring an engine reconditioner and ask?
