'91 Levin Electric Windows not Working

Postby Jamiepo » Sun Mar 02, 2008 7:02 pm

I Jumped into my car the other day put down the window and went to pick up my GF from work. I got to my destination and both the windows had stopped working so my window is now stuck down. Checked all the fuses in the drivers side kickboard but all were still good. I am new to Levins so am not too savvy with them. If my drivers side switch is broken will this stop both windows from working as the switch seems a bit dodgey. Also the small light above the door lock switch is no longer on does this mean that the switch is getting no power? Is there a fuse for the windows at all or do they hook up to a relay or something? Any help would be much appreciated.

could be contacts in the back of the switch, i had to take mums honda one apart and clean up all the contacts,

easy to do and worth a try unless you have another stich assembly

probably something else though, because it seems odd that you lost both at same time :? check the wires into the switch and see if there is a +ve feed to it

I have a feeling that it is the switch the switch assembly itself as one miunte it was all working and the next it wasn't also the window lock is not on. I have had it apart and the switches all look pretty good no real build up or corosion.
