Is a Flexi definitely needed for a fwd plumb-back WG?

Postby ~SlideWays~ » Mon Mar 03, 2008 3:23 pm

Wanting to plumb my external into the Down Pipe but finding it hard to source a short 38mm flexi.

Is it a neccessity to have a flexi in the return pipe? Does it depend on the design/length/thickness of piping?

Otherwise, does anybody know of a supplier of SHORT 38mm flexi's? Have only found 200mm which is way too long.

Thanks.

I got mine off a ee90 corolla. No not pretty but it was free, and right diameter.

flyer got sent aroudn to warrant places showign them a picture of a external venting to atmo, saying that is illegal,

the fact that they showed pictures on it clarified them and cleared any doubts, so technically you should not be passed anymore.

So do they fail on the noise issue or the fact that the exhaust exits in front of the passenger compartment?

the fact that the external wastegate pipe is classed as part of the exhaust system and should therefore be plumbed into the exhaust system.
