ae101 drivers side engine mount, any tricks?

ok so im tryna remove the engine mount but i cant undo the through bolt because of a rubber 'guard' above the nut which doesnt allow room for a spanner or a socket, so how does everyone else go about it?

sounds like you need more tools have you got a jijjly bar or a long extension, or can you remove the rubber?

not too sure what a jijjly bar is, and its a bit tight for an extension

problem solved, i just loosened off the other mounts and jacked it up some more

norm you would just undo the two nuts from under the car that mount it to the engine stay
