i'm going to say, silly idea.

first of all a 5afe is a 1500cc, a 4age is 1600cc

Would make for an interesting build, but most likely just a waste of time and money.

just put in a 4age if anything, I've never heard anything about a 5age :lol:

also, I would not be doing the above on your daily, unless you like cruising around on the 30ft loser cruiser :lol:. would be better off having a project car and working on that. That way you can still get to work if something blows up

would be a fun thing to do to learn and play
but....
if you want to do that, do ti with a 7afe instead
that way when you get it going it will be a big improvment :D

7age = looks like a 4age but about 20mm taller.

GE head will NOT fit 5A block, due to difference in bore sizes and general dimensions. 5AGE is just a made up name by HKS(I think) and has nothing to do with 5AFE.

you could use a 16V AGE head as people have put them on 2A bottom ends which run a 76mm bore, the 5A runs a 78.8 bore

Yeh but its not worth it. why dont you buy a worn down 4age and build that up (that way you can muck around with engine internals)
