i had them in my AE85 for a good 6 months, then put them into my GZ10 soarer for about a year. no leaks or anything.

the problem is that ya cant lower the front very much as the shock bottoms out, thus no suspension travel.

they are the exact same design as the D2 kit just different colours.

IMO the best "cheap" coilover brand is BC specially since they have redesigned everything they are now gold and black.

ill asasume your looking at coilovers for a AE8# judging bu the pic, the new BC kit is the same design as the GReddy one in that it still has seperate shock and spring rear, and also has seperate height and spring rate adjustment in the front. (requires a bit of chopping and welding tho)

Cool, thanx for that.
So it sounds like the BC's are better...in that case, as they need welding to fit, where would the best place to get this done in auckland?? (I cant weld to save my life)

according th phil at NZEFI/RedLine in chch they completely re designed everything, far better materials etc.

on the BC kit you cut the entire strut tube off the factory tube and weld their bit onto the bottom bit (where the steering knuckle goes) this bit has a internal thread allowing the height adjustment, there is the "Main" shock bit which the threaded sleeve is on etc if that makes sense
