Postby NOLAW » Sat Mar 29, 2008 11:25 am

im in the process of changing from a single throttle body to blacktop quads on my 16v, my question is can a swich the throttle positioning sensor from the single throttle body onto the quads? or do i have to change the plug to suit the sensor on the quads?

any help would be greatly appreciated

nope will need a rewire from memory,

as the quads throttle shafts rotate the other direction, and so the pins in the plug are reversed, i.e. the earth that was at one end is now at the other.

Dont remember what model I struck it on, but it can happen.

pretty sure yours should be the same as your motor is a reasonably l8 model 4AGZE (Small port, CAS)
you'll have to use ur TPS as the 20V turns the wrong way
PM me for anything autoelectrical, Info or jobs etc....

No what were saying is on the quads you must use a 20V TPS as they are not interchangable with 16V

and the 20V tps uses different wiring to the others.

yeh use 20v tps. 16v plug will fit, pins are back to front, thats all. just swap them over in the plug. easy.
