AE86 Spindles - anything compatible?

Postby Fortyone.co.nz » Thu Apr 10, 2008 3:29 pm

Just a general question, the AE86's spindles, are there any other Toyotas whose spindles are the same / compatible?

if KE70 are the same, it would then rule out TA5#/6# celicas.

I should add, late KE70. The part numbers for the late KE70 and AE8x hubs are the same.

Perfect thanks heaps people!

What about coilovers - Trust Type S Coilover kit - thing there's much interest? Comes with complete spindles.

Could be interest if they aren't silly priced. I dont think many people with DX's will fork out $2k for coilovers  cutoff wheels are heaps cheaper

Yeah they're near $3k, best reviewed coilovers out. Only alternative to Daiyama who use OEM spindles, Trust make their own.

i think you will find most old toy owners to be masters of "on the cheap" lot of guys make their own coilovers / mongrel suspension setups etc.

and when you can get coilover sets that slot into the standard shock casing from as little as $1200, you might find the market for top of the line stuff to be limited. most of the big spenders seem to prefer tein.

but i guess options are good!
