Caldina GTT alternator

has anyone had trouble with there alternator when they have taken off that ducting venting thing?? to put in a front mount??

only cold air vent it sounds like, wouldn't worry to much about it,
post up a pic
but as a note 3gse/te alt are the shit nippo thing every made, never got them right, alway crapping them self.

I think it leads to a cooked alternator if removed. was some mention of it in a previous post

a friends alternator cooked about 5000kms after he removed his, not sure if that was the cause, but it certainly seemed like it was more than a coincidence.

edit to correct distance from 500 to 5000
