Replacing Side Light on 97 Curren

Postby callum_62 » Sun Apr 27, 2008 12:18 pm

Hi,

Im gonna ask a really dumb question, but as a car novice, I dont wanna break anything for the sake of a lightbulb!

Basically, my right side 'position' light on my 97 Curren has blown.

Got the new bulb etc to fit, thinking it would be a 5 min job, I mean, its only a lightbulb! Trouble is, its a bit of a bugger to get into the side light (infact, im not 100% sure how its done).

I have unscrewd the screw that obvioulsy holds the whole side light swction in place (just under the bonnet).

This makes the panel loose etc....but what now? Do I just use a flat head to pop the panel out to get access to the bulb? I just dont wanna break anything, for the sake of a $4.50 bulb!

Also, a bit embaressed to take a light into a garage!

Any help would be appreciated,

Thanks!

The whole light assy should just pop off the front. It is held in by a ball/socket set up, once you have the screw off use a screwdriver to lever it off nice an easy like. Replace your bulb then line it up and push it back on then put the screw in.
