Levin AE111 BZ-G LSD?

Postby alamo » Sun Jun 01, 2008 2:06 pm

Hey all,

I'm just wondering if the early model (not face lift) AE111 BZ-G came out with a factory 5 speed and Limited Slip Diff? If so can someone tell me how to identify this model amongst the non LSD BZ-G's or do all BZ-G's have a LSD gear box?

Cheers,

Alastair

If it has superstrut suspension then it will have an LSD box. Easiest way to check is to look at the front brakes, if they have two pot calipers then it's superstrut and has an LSD. This is from what I understand.

Thanks, so if the car is a BZ-G with a 5 speed LSD will it have SS suspension? Or was SS optional on some BZ-G models?
Or what your saying is that SS suspension and a LSD came together on that model, not one with out the other...

I don't think that "if it has s/s it will be LSD" is true .... if it was there would be c series lsd's everywhere...........

look at the gearbox code on the car it came off if it ends with a A its open, C is LSD, unless its had a gearbox change or aftermarket item...

Only real way to be sure is to look in the axle hole to identify the diff

I was merely clarifying what was said above, i don't know for sure, although revvy told me in another thread that this is the case, so i'm just passing on 2nd hand info.

as mentioned best way is to look at it yourself.
