Diesel Oil

Postby method » Tue Jun 10, 2008 4:00 pm

I have some diesel oil lying around at home and i was wondering if its alright to use in petrol engines?

Is there anything special about diesel oil or is it just same as normal engine oil with extra cleaners in it.

Its the same weight, 15-40.

I've heard of people running Diesel oil in petrol motors for the reason they have the extra cleaners in them.

I've never tried it however, so couldn't tell you if it was any good or not.

diesel oil is great, as it will pull a lot of the carbon build up out of the oil system.
If it was a decent motor i'd probably only do about 1000 k's on it and change it out so it doesn't mank up the filter but on a k series who cares.
