Upper Right Engine Mount

Postby xsspeed » Sun Jun 15, 2008 3:28 pm

As title I'm having issues getting the upper right (drivers) side engine mount off one of my cars.

Motor is a carby 4A, in an ae82 liftback.

All other mounts came off sweet, but this one is a right b*tch.

I am taking the weight of the motor with a hoist and then trying to undo but it won't budge. I have pumped it with crc so will have another go once thats had a bit of time to work its magic.

Any other thoughts/suggestions.

Need to get this motor out today to sell.

If you get stuck and nothing will work you could probably unbolt it off the engine block

Yeah thats what I'm hoping to avoid, I just went to get a 17mm socket from repco especially this moring, and will need to go buy another deep socket to get to those ones.
