AE111 & AE101 superstrut brakes

Postby Maxwedge » Thu Aug 14, 2008 8:20 am

I need to know whether the front brake disc from a Superstrut AE101 has a 54mm centre hole or 55mm, I have a disc from a Superstrut AE111 which has a 55mm hole and need to know whether the AE101 is the same, thanks

ae101 center is 55mm, ae111 center is 54mm

ae101 is the odd one out when it comes to hubs / brakes in the corolla family.

Are you sure about that, I have some superstrut brakes from a BZG and they have the 55mm centres. I am trying to establish whether the AE101 has the 54mm hole so I can fit to a AE82 use the twin pot calipers and machine the diameter of the disc.

Strange - I'm just doing this swap and ordered new discs from Toyota for a AE101-bcmzf, 5027333 and got 54mm bore SS discs.

Machined the OD down and are now making up a thin spacer (only 1.6-2mm thick) to go UNDER the disc (as the disc doesn't sit central to the pad carrier - closer on the inside). This is something I found but I've not seen it mentioned in any conversion notes? Anyone else found this?

Cheers
