Quick question - AE101

Postby RS13 » Mon Aug 18, 2008 7:34 pm

Just after the location of the ECU, save me contorting myself under the dash! And also, I have a large black box under the drivers' seat, is this the factory amp?

Yeah. I don't think I need the factory amp.. I'm measuring up some Levin seats due to the lower height giving me more headroom, looks like the amp might be in the way.

And cheers for the info on the ECU, all this talk about blown caps has me wanting to check mine! :)

does that amp do anything? (aftermarket Headunit which i didn't wire)

i can't remember if it was my passenger or drivers but there was certainly something under the seats that was black and looked like an amp

Factory remote central locking?? Mine was under the drivers seat and worked from a massive distance away from the car - so much so was sitting in a cafe on the other side of a 4 lane road and sat on the keys, unlocked the car :D

Ae101 20v or 4agze levin/truenos have factory headunit with a stupid separate amp located under passenger seat. They almost always burn out a couple of capacitors and die. Aftermarket headunit will be bypassing the factory amp.

I used to think that the orange and green tictacs gave you special powers. The orange ones would make you stronger and the green ones would make you faster. So i used to eat some green ones and run around my lounge as fast as i could, then eat the orange ones and try to pick up the sofa. I wish it were true!

Another question, how close is the AE101 Levin/Trueno to the AE101 FXGT floorplan? Like, am I able to bolt a 20V Levin exhaust system (from extractors back) to my FXGT?

rear rails get wider and longer than the fxgt rails
