ST205 clutch line query

Postby RunningRich » Sun Sep 07, 2008 10:34 pm

My ST205 has always had a very (very) hard clutch. I have a TRD pressure plate, GReddy flywheel and a standard HD driven plate with thin Kevlar one side and ceramic pucks the other. The ACT pressure plate I had before was the same.

Just noticed on the EPC that the ST205 has and orific block in the clutch line. I remember it well from when I had it out but cannot it's purpose. Any idea what it does? I assume it slows how quickly the clutch can engage when you come off the pedal. As such drilling it larger should have no effect on pedal pressure only the rate the clutch engages/disengages?

best person to ask on clutches for these rich , would be tim. hes tried a multitude of combinations and should e able to point you in the right direction ..

I remember how hard that one of yours was , my leg ached after trying to depress it - its not a good combination in my books ..

Franks and tims twin plates are easier to use than that monster ..

Im not sure what Clint uses in TRDGT4 down south so i cant give any ideas there
