Clutch Q

I took my p/plate and flywheel to tradeparts to skim the flywheel because it had alot of surface rust on it. I asked them about getting the p/plate tested and maybe increase the clamping pressure to about 1800lbs and the guy said that the trd p/plate that i had was more than that. I told him that it isnt the site says 1300lbs or something like that but he said its more like 1300kgs. I just agreed and let them skim the flywheel. Can i ge tthe clamping pressure increase in my trd p/plate? Or should i just bin it as i dont think it will hold up(20v turbo).

they are 1500ish lbs

depending on use, power and driving style it should be fine

what kind of clutch plate should i get as they say that will also help increase grip. I just dont want to throw it in if it just wont do the job. I am a conservative driver but will turn it up every now and again.

edit - read your post properly, umm for my money go see autoclutch in kingsland, they will tell you whats what - build plenty of custom performance / race car clutches there.

just tell em how much power you have, and what you want to do with the car (honestly ) and they'll sort you something out.

Yea autoclutch are good to deal with. And by p/plate your not meaning your numberplate
