3S-GTE Diag Codes (34,41)

Hey guys, the saga continues!

Managed to get the Celica running again today after much frustration (Turned out to be plugs!) so took it for another spin.

Heres the (contining) problem. Seems to be running nicely now, boosts fine, but sounds (and feels) like it's sucking or blowing the air or exhaust through a 10 cent coin sized hole! It feels free-er when you let off the load but did one full on rev in 2nd up through the revs, and it dropped everything (like I guess knock sensor would feel) and check engine light came on. Checked the numbers and it's coming up with 34, 41, and 51(which it has been all along). Copied from another site to save you looking them up:

34-TURBOCHARGER PRESSURE--ABNORMAL TURBOCHARGER PRESSURE

--TURBO CHARGER

--AIRFLOW METER/MANIFOLD/TURBOCHARGER PRESSURE SENSOR

--INTERCOOLER SYSTEM

--ECU

41- THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR SIGNAL--OPEN OR SHORT IN TPS SIGNAL

--TPS SENSOR

--TPS SIGNAL/CIRCUIT

--ECU

and 51- SWITCH SIGNALS

IDL (tps) CONTACTS OFF, NEUTRAL START SWITCH OFF, A/C SWITCH "ON" SIGNAL TO ECU

WITH DIAGNOSTIC CHECK CONNECTOR SHORTED

--A/C SWITCH/CIRCUIT

--A/C AMPLIFIER

--TPS/CIRCUIT

--NEUTRAL START SWITCH/CIRCUIT

--ECU

(Which I'm not too stressed about)

34 would seem like too much boost, but looked only to hit about 0.7bar max so I don't know about that, and TPS... I can check that voltage wise somehow aye?

Any ideas? Thanks always for all your help!

Much Appreciated :D

sounds like it over boosted and hit the fuel cut.
Did the engine check light go away and all go back to normal (well normal for this car) after turning it off then back on?

Yup, sure does. Took it for another drive and it's fine enough. Thanks for that - will try and sort out the boost!

Still trying to figure out why it's slow! (Perhaps because it's a GT4 :D )

Thanks!
