GTT - A/T Oil Temp - Help?

Postby WanaGo » Sun Jan 25, 2009 3:17 pm

Hey

Just wondering if anyone may know a reason for this coming on and stopping the car.
Car has only been run for a short distance today, into town. Came back home, and then the wife wanted to go out, got to the end of the driveway and the car died. A/T Oil Temp light on.

I went out there, turn the car ON and the light was there, and wasnt going away. Tried to start, no joy. Then it did fire up. Ran for about 10 seconds, and then the A/T oil Temp light came on again and it stopped.

Its only about 23 Degrees here, the car hasnt been run fast today, just a normal snail pace into town and back. Prob 15 minutes driving at 50km/h only.

Just went on a big 4000km road trip and got back a week ago, and no issues over that time.

A/T Oil is still full and still a good colour - serviced not long ago with a new filter.

Any ideas?

Similar thing happened about a year ago, which was down to the Immobiliser being faulty, but this was removed from the circuit (auto sparky did it) - so Im not sure how this would be the problem again...
