are HKS BOVs adjustable?

Postby l1ttle_d3vil » Tue Feb 03, 2009 8:38 pm

im running a knock-off HKS SSQ Blowoff valve, works fine but when running 12psi its pretty noisy. doesn't worry me a huge amount, just gets a bit annoying when around town.

theres a bolt/screw on the back of it, but from what I've read this is only to adjust when it vents?

is there any way to make it a bit quieter other than changing BOV's, or plumbing it back into the intake?

Noise i dont think so, that screw at the back is for how soft the spring is, tigher is better!! You can get an insert for hks ones insted of that merc sign tip, you can replace it with a circular tube type thing which gives it a subtler sound.
