Gear Box or lsd noise?

Postby dnalunchie » Mon Mar 09, 2009 11:19 am

Hey guys I just had a question about my car, recently the gearbox or lsd seems to be getting rather noisy, it doesnt sound like a whine but rather sumthing more mechanical and the sound increases in frequency as the speed increases, Its a 1997 type R integra so i dont really wanna leave it to chance, Im wondering what my best bet would be? I know its the box as it only happens when the car is moving and revving while stationary does nothing.

I was thinking prehaps I should change the gearbox/LSD oil? although the clutch was done about 20,000kms ago so I would assume it was done then?

The gearbox itself is still shifting perfectly and doesnt feel any different , no crunches or anything so Im not quite sure what I should do?

Any help would be great guys :)
