Link ECU - D42V4....will it run?

Postby stalker » Fri Apr 03, 2009 12:41 am

Hey all,

Well as we are onto the pain staking job of the wiring in the levin it got me thinking (bad I know)....

It currently has a Link 4AGE20V D42V4.
Now from what I have found online searching around, it looks as thou the D42V4 is the LEM4 (does anyone know if thats correct??)

Also, as im turning it into a 4agTe, will the LEM4 run it properly?? Or would I be better to upgrade it to a G3 or G4??

Cheers all

lem4 should run a 4age turbo fine, unless its running quads or something? ive heard the older links have problems running quads properly.

might need to be reconfigured though, but if its already on a 4age probably not.

Ahh true. Awesome!
The current link (in question) has been running my quad trumpets and seemed to run them ok.

Cheers

I ran a V3 which is one step older than that on my car when I first got it.

it will be a Link LEM G1 version 4,
can be updated to V5 spec easily enough, but probably not woth it as V4's are PC compatable where V3 is not.

There was supposedly better boost control in the V5. However in all the LEM G1 series the boost control is pretty hopeless. Or so I'm led to believe I've only run a V3,V4 in NA applications.
