Aren't there a few different variations of the CT26?

I doubt the one on a landcruiser diesel is the same as the MR2 etc?

a 4.2 deisel consumes similar volumes of air to a 2 litre petrol. I know the CT26 on a 7MGTE supposedly has a bigger compressor to the ones found on MR2/GT4

Guess it must be mismatched on the 3.4 diesel then. Just tried googling for a compressor map and got a virus alert at work lol  Good thing I am IT...

yeah I also discovered they used them on the 13BT, would be a OK sized turbo for one of them i thought.

As far as im aware, there is 3 different sized CT26 Compressor Wheels,

42mm inducer off the SW20, ST165, 185 and all the diesel CT26's out there..
45.5mm inducer off the 7MGTE Supra,

~48mm inducer off the ST185 GT4 RC

and thats it as far as i know of... i have yet to see any other CT26 wheels in the 10+ years i have been in the industry.

Officaly there isnt any compressor maps avail, most people use TB03 maps from the same rough size...

I heard a little birdie told me that the Supra CT26 is crazily huge, not only on the compressor side but also on the exhaust side.

But pity they don't fit 3S-GTE's or else it'll be a mean upgrade.

That dude who had his Supra with one of those CT26's plus upgraded comp wheel was almost kicking my ass at the drags, but then he had half a car plus slicks, cheater :P

I have a 7MGTE CT26 on my 3sgte(ST165). The comp housing is the same size with a larger wheel (I thought the inducer was was 48mm. But not exactly sure now as I put it on a few years ago). The exhaust housing is larger than the st165 one, but still single scroll.

My guess is that you made a custom manifold for the turbo, since as far as I know it won't bolt up to the factory manifold. Why not choose a better and more common turbo instead of the Supra CT26?

Thinking of what Scottie said. Why go thru all the trouble of mating up the Supra CT26 to the 3S-GTE? Should instead change to something more common and upgradable, maybe T25 Flange?

You're so off course its not even funny. My 1HDT landcruiser has a CT26 on it, I picked up a near new Subaru VF36 (twin scroll, titantium turbine, ball bearing CHRA, 400hp compressor) for a song and am planning on putting it onto the cruiser with a new manifold. I was needing to confirm that the VF36 compressor was indeed larger in flow volume than the cruisers CT26 unit. Not exactly what you were thinking now is it????
