Clutch issues

Postby HELBND » Mon Aug 31, 2009 3:28 pm

before you say it... i'm probably searching as you read this...

Ive got an ae101 with a c56 and im having issues getting it into gear. once youre moving its fine if you play with the revs a bit on down shifts, but it has extreme difficulty getting into gear from a standing start.

if you get it into gear while youre stopped, the car is still trying to move, its like the clutch is not disengaging fully when you push the pedal in. Ive bled the clutch fluid, and got a hell of a lot of air out, but the issue is still there - only with a stiffer clutch pedal

* Any ideas as to what might be causing this problem?

* and in the mean time, whats the easiest way to get it into first for a hill start? i had a hell of a problem with this 8O

all help much appreciated

Cheers

Ben

Bleed again with a mate, it is probably not bled completely, unless there is something seriously wrong with clutch itself.

Putting it into 1st with the car not running may be easier.

To me it sounds like there is an air leak somewhere or the clutch is still not bled correctly.

ive bled it a couple of times now, with someone else there, it doesnt seem to be getting any more air in it.

I have a new master and slave cylinder arriving tomorrow that hopefully will sort it

Have you adjusted the pedal at all?? Can give you more throw (or less throw if it is over engaging) May help ALOT, had to do this in all the skylines at Advanced with aftermarket clutches to get them working just rite :)
