Postby jakesae101 » Tue Sep 01, 2009 7:08 pm

ok so soon i want to goto a programable ecu on my ae92 afm namely the megasquirt daughterboard on a 4agze ecu i have been advised ill have to change the ignition as the molex? toyota ignition isnt compatable with a aftermarket system someone said to goto early evo coilpacks how hard is it to change the system to mitsi ones to run with the standard ecu ( i want to convert it while im waiting for the ecu to be done ) and what parts other than the coilpacks itself do i need
I appologise for my bad grammar

The coil packs will not be an issue, you can run the 4AGZE ones with the megasquirt,
and can run the EVO type with the toyota igniter, so wont really matter what or when you change.

BUT

Cant run the mitsi igniter with the toyota ECU and cant run the Toyota igniter with the MS ecu,

so that will have to happen at the same time as the ECU swap.
