20v silver top with sc14 rwd

Postby Rona73 » Wed Sep 02, 2009 9:25 pm

i'm currently putting a sc14 on a silvertop that has been converted to rear wheel drive. any one done this before and what was your weakest link. my engine is standard, have made custom gilmers for supercharger and haven't fired it up yet so not sure what boost will be. i'm running a t50 box custom drive shaft and hilux rear end.

There's been a similar setup on here. Zac I think it was. Used a 4AGZE ECU and loom, with a piggy back computer of some type. Made 14ish KW at the wheels, so pretty good power for supercharged.

The biggest thing will be the tune. With the high compression and boost, if not done right....pop!!!

nice car sean showed me this...

it would probally pay to invest in a link or something... then you can run DLI and also control your SC clutch if you still have one,

zak did own a SC 20v AE86, but he didnt build it

there will be a project thread, it was quite a different setup to how that looks tho. V mounted cooler / rad etc. the guys on GD will have the low down on zaks old car (he since sold it) if you want more details / the guy that built it still goes there a bit i think.

from memory that ae86 had an sc12 and was mounted on the intake side.

What sort of psi and flow does a sc14 do vs sc12 out of interest?
