soarer aftermarket radiator..plz help

Postby tomtom » Mon Sep 07, 2009 6:17 pm

hi, am fitting an aftermarket radiator to my uzz30. obdviously i need to run a trans cooler. but theres a few things im nt sure about.

firstly theres a electrical plug at the bottom of the radiator and an electrical plug in the top filler box, what exactly do these do and how should i deal wth them???

secondly on the top water inlet on the motor theres a extra little water tube that was connected to top of radiator?? what is this and should i just block it off???????

The plug in the expansion tank is just a water level sensor, not sure on the others off hand.

Pics may help since I'm too lazy to go look outside :D

And im pretty sure the hose will go to the radiator overflow... which you will need.

Can only think of two hoses on the top of the radiator and only the big ass hose should be connected to the engine, smaller of the two goes to the expansion tank.

Maybe its a temp thing to let the ECU know that the water going INTO the engine is or isn't cool enough and it could compare it to the water coming out of the engine?

The Soarer doesn't run an electric fan, guessing it's still a temp sensor though
