Removing Ae101 Levin Drivers Side Guard Liner

Postby Shads » Fri Sep 11, 2009 9:49 am

After Happening a mishap yesterday and hitting a pothole on the open road at 100km, my drivers guard liner has cracked in 4 different places with the bottom piece splitting and having to be cut off.

just wondering if someone could tell me how to remove it so i can replace it, if there was photos or something thatd be helpful.

Cheers in advance

Mike

There will be screws and plastic clips, take the wheel off and have a look, you will see whats holding it on. I don't think you need photos of it, more just need to get in there and have a look / try get it off

k theres bolts that ive taken off with a socket set, being thou that i have now ran into a snag.

There are some clip-bolt things on the left hand side, its looking to be a allenkey, but without the hole for the allenkey?>???
if someone could enlighten me as to wat it takes to undo these bearing in mind ive exhaused all options thatd be cool.

The piece in question is where the mudflap would normally sit, theres about 6 circular head clips/bolts/unknown?

cheers

Probably just plastic clips that push into place, try getting some wire cutters around the centre part and prying it off the guard. Just the centre part, not the outer part.

call me stupid x10 but i think its more than that
the wee bolt is flat circular head with a hole in the middle
the holes not big enough for an allenkey or even pilers to fit it
after some hella forcing theres a square adaptor on the other side, its sitting flush against the panel at the moment and a total sodd to move it aye.
