4age timing help

Postby apprentice » Wed Oct 28, 2009 9:46 pm

i put a 4age in a ae70 it's stock apart from filter and 2"5inch exhaust aw11 bluetop Map sensor

i have been battleing with this engine for months on and off

problems are
timing doesn't advance when engine revs increase
engine only runs for a second no matter what you do when the T and E1 are shorted out

things i have tried
have tried 2 different MAP sensors
replaced plugs
checked TPS
and tested MAP TPS wiring from plugs to ecu

Thanks

Dont really understand what you are saying?

How do you know the timing doesn't advance when you rev it,
when the car wont run?
