RWD Blacktop

Postby ke_25 » Fri Nov 06, 2009 11:59 am

Hey,

got all the cooling etc sorted for the rwd blacktop block + Head, and now the RWD alternator mount hits where teh auto tensioner goes,

has any one had this problem? i was considering just cutting the rwd alternator bracket to clear, but was unsire of strength? what have other people done?

i would rather run the hydraulik tensioner, changing pump would be a last resort.

Cheers Shaun

yea, i agree with frost. if you can, just use the blacktop alternator mount. when i did it i just had to space it out with some THICK washers so it matched the same height as where it sits over the rwd engine mount.

I ground away the alt mount to clear on the one i did.

Easy and as long as you dont go crazy it wont affect the strength.
