Hi there,

Well from what i gather i either need a new valve body or maybe a solenoid has gone, as it dies when put in gear. Does anyone know a good gearbox place in wellington that could diagnose the problem and give me some options? And also if they are mobile that would help as I curently do not have a vehicle with a towbar.

Cheeers

Hutt automatics, on bridge street Petone, pretty much behind Tonys Tyre service by the bridge going over the Hutt river or at the base of the Normandale bridge

Pharazyn Auto's were the best around these parts. Best price too.
They've closed the door (retired) but a couple of their guys have landed at Vogel Motors in Victoria Street.

Lincoln automatics in Palmerston North, is lot cheaper, i would talk to Eric see what problem is first. Shipping the Gearbox up and downs only $60.

Thought so. However everyone is cheaper than Hutt Automatics.
There are plenty of good auto shops in Wellington without taking your trans out yourself and sending it away.
Doesn't Ray Hartley do autos? Another good option if you're in Wellington and don't want to come out the Hutt.
