spark plug lead order URGENT

Postby 79rolla » Sun Jan 10, 2010 4:56 pm

hey.. this is a mitzi but someone must be abil to help me

long story short, im replacing the dizzy cap rotor plugs and leads, i have misplaced the old dizz cap witch i had written the positions of the leads on

its a 4g13
i know the fiering order is 1-3-4-2 like most 4cyl motors

im guessing it will be anti clockwise because the dizzy is positioned on the back of the head? would have guessed 1 at the top 4 at the bottem? have tryed with 2 and 3 on eyther side with no luck, could be because its been sitting for a while tho and battery is a bit flat..

the battery went flat wen i was trying to guess it so its on the charger now, i need this running tonite so my brother can take it back to hamilton

cheres for useull help!

Turn the engine over by hand and see which direction the rotor turns. Get it up on the timing marks and whatever lead the rotor is pointing to = #1 and the next in the sequence = #3 then #4 then #2.

didint relly want to do this because of the lack of room, but did. ended up pulling spark plug out and using screw driver to find tdc as there was no marks on crank pully

turns out 1 was on the back side, witch seems retarded to me.. but hey its mitsi...

so it looked like

--2--
1---4
--3--

oh well cheres anyway

Looks just like an SR20DE VVT dizzy cap....
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.
