catch can size?

What sized catch can is required for a 3l turbo engine?
And what do people recommend for the internal design?

For MSNZ regs? Isnt it 1.5L?

should that be read as at least 1.5L?

(7) Oil catch tanks: shall be fitted to engines with open circuit crankcase breathing systems
as follows;
(a) Engines up to and including 2000cc shall have a minimum of 1 litre catch tank capacity.
(b) Engines exceeding 2000cc shall have a minimum of 2 litre catch tank capacity.
Note: Do not apply equivalence factor multipliers.

strange isnt it? its not like 2L and 3L oil capacity is much different

im not saying your wrongm just seems a weird rule or reg

it does increase in some engines, add up oil coolers, lines, wing sumps, and it gets up there, im not saying you will blow all of it out but better safe then slippery track.
my 4age will be about 5.5ltrs
my 4.4 v8 has 8ltrs 8O
